Scottish Television broadcasts, streams, and leverages media & news outlets. Over the last few years, the company noticed that there had been a shift in its viewer base to preferring on-demand services, as well as a trend towards mobile in consuming this media and entertainment content.
With this in mind, STV turned to SOASTA just prior to the UK General Election in 2015. With extremely high demand for this live event, STV knew it was critical to ensure that all its applications could scale to an extremely large number of viewers, quickly.
The testing and monitoring done with SOASTA allowed STV to be prepared for large-scale events. Before any major launches or events, STV now uses SOASTA Digital Performance Management tools to test. The resulting confidence in these testing results have helped to grow the STV brand across Scotland.
