Today, we at SOASTA have an important announcement to make. We recently enhanced the capabilities in our best-in-class Performance Monitoring solution, mPulse, to support native apps with targeted contextual alerts and actionable real time data on real users. By leveraging the same innovative touch-tracking technology in our TouchTest automated mobile testing solution, mPulse customers can now observe actual user behavior from their Web, mobile Web or native mobile app environments.
Real user data available instantly
With our latest version of mPulse, dev/ops can now track real user experiences in real time and focus on the most popular pages, gestures, third party services and user profiles to determine just how fast is fast enough for their app.
Tom Lounibos, our CEO and co-founder, noted just how important it is to get real time information on real users. He pointed out that mobility has been a significant driving force for Web and mobile commerce, and getting real results to the right person has a critical impact on businesses today.
“mPulse provides every byte of Real User performance data for Web and mobile apps, not just a sample of data like other solutions, and now with the ability to quickly monitor native mobile apps and target alerts with the right information for the right person, our customers are provided real time power to make instant decisions about what is impacting their business,” Lounibos said.
The Benefits of Real User Monitoring
By measuring real user behavior on every mobile device and Web browser – without sampling and losting key data points – application owners can now evaluate the user experience for ALL their users. With this information, organizations can determine where to optimize performance to increase brand loyalty and revenue.
In addition to support for native mobile applications, we’ve also provided a number of other new features. TouchMetrics, for one, enables developers to better focus their efforts, offering customized correlated and targeted metrics on app utilization. We have also added TouchTimers to set specific measurements and benchmarks to track certain user actions within native and Web apps on real devices.
Another exciting feature within mPulse provides an in-depth breakdown of a business’s competitors. Made possible through a partnership with SpeedCurve, this capability allows developers to illuminate areas where they can optimize their apps to deliver the best performance and maintain a competitive stance in the marketplace.
Arming customers with the data that matters
Overall, these new capabilities provide app developers, e-commerce leaders, marketing and enterprise executives with the focused information they need to make informed decisions on Web performance. Now key decision-makers have actionable insights to create the best user experience possible across all online channels including Web, mobile Web and native applications.
