Find Out How

The Results Details View has several methods for navigating through the test results.  These methods allow you to quickly display messages or browser actions within a single band, track, test clip, or chain; to display errors only; or to move chronologically through the results.  Each of these navigation methods is listed below:

To open a result:

• In Repository, find an existing result either under Recently Played or by clicking the arrow key next to the Test Composition name.
• Double click on the Result Name (holding the Shift-key down while double clicking will open the Result in a new window).

• Click on the Result Details tab.
• Each of the components in the component flow control at the top will drive the display in the lower panels of the screen. To move to another component, simply click on it in the component flow control.
• Alternatively you can use the scroll bar to move through the list.

• To view Message and Browser Action components only, click the “Message Components Only” checkbox.
• To view only error components, check the box labeled “Error Components Only”.
• Alternatively you can use the scroll bar to move through the list.

• For the component currently being displayed, you can view the events for that one component by clicking the Events List button. These are the same events that display when clicking on the Log tab.

• You can also select subsets of components by the component hierarchy. To view the hierarchy, click the open button in the lower left corner.

• Click on the grey arrow button to open or close pieces of the hierarchy. Select a component to limit the display to only that component and its children components.
