Changing SOASTA Conductor (re-install)

Once a SOASTA Conductor has been installed on a machine, you may wish to re-install. You would re-install the conductor when:

  • You need to alter connectivity for the Conductor. For example, you may wish to connect to a different SOASTA CloudTest machine.
  • You receive an automatic update of SOASTA Conductor. When new versions of the product are installed, new versions of SOASTA Conductor are automatically downloaded.

If you wish to re-install SOASTA Conductor, begin by downloading SOASTA Conductor as you would for an install and run the SOASTA Conductor Installer. If SOASTA Conductor has been automatically downloaded, then this step is not necessary.

When you re-install SOASTA Conductor, the previous configuration is detected and the initial screen provides current configuration information.

If you do not wish to change any of the settings (for an automatic download of the Conductor, for example) you can simply click “Next”. If you do wish to change settings, uncheck the “Install With Current Settings” checkbox and click “Next”.

If you have chosen to change settings, the process becomes like that of a normal SOASTA Conductor install once you click the Next button. Please refer to the topic, Installing SOASTA Conductor, to complete the re-install.
