SOASTA CloudTest offers many different ways to view test results. The Analytics Dashboard displays trends in the form of charts along with demographic information for the environments utilized during the test. These charts are synchronized so that you can see cause and effects of various loads. For example, during a load test, as the number of messages increases the CPU may increase as well as the response time. This might indicate that the system being tested needs a higher-powered machine. There is also an Aggregates View that displays aggregate information such as duration or bytes sent in a grid form. |

Analytics DashboardThere are three Dashboards available: The Test Results Dashboard shows various metrics gathered during a test; the Monitoring Dashboard shows data gathered from system monitors such as CPU time or database I/O; and the Test Result Comparison Dashboard which places more than one result in the same charts to allow comparisons from one run to another or even tests against different systems such as Staging and Development.

Aggregates ViewThe Aggregates View displays various metrics aggregated over all virtual users in a grid form. This is a good place to compare the average response times for the various components of your load test in order to find the bottlenecks. Average response times as well as max durations and bytes sent and received can be compared for a particular message or one user scenario in the form of a Test Clip or Chain. In this view the word “duration” is defined as the response time for a message. For a Band/Track/Test Clip/Chain it is the difference between the first message sent or other action and the last message received (or other action completed) in that component. |
