Former SVP of QLogic Joins Cloud Testing Leader SOASTA
Accomplished Industry Executive To Lead SOASTA’s Global Sales Organization
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.,—January 26, 2010—SOASTA, the leader in cloud testing, today announced that Mark Edwards, an accomplished industry executive, has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales.

Prior to joining SOASTA, Mark served as an operating partner for No. 8 Ventures, the leading early stage investor in New Zealand, which has invested in a broad range of technology companies with a strong software component.
Mark was also the Senior Vice President at QLogic (NASDAQ: QLGC) where he was responsible for Sales and Marketing, IT, M&A and was General Manager of the HBA and Switch business units. During his tenure at QLogic the company enjoyed significant growth and shareholder value creation. He was key in increasing sales from $50 million to more than $450 million per year and the market capitalization of the company grew from under $100 million to more than $3 billion.
Prior to QLogic Mark was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the $400 million Storage Systems Division of Unisys. Before that, he held a number of senior sales and marketing roles in the United States and Europe for Unisys, Zitel and DEC. Mark has a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Business Studies from the Cass Business School at the City University, London.
Mark brings a wealth of strategic and hands-on experience in global sales, marketing, customer engagement, channel and enterprise management to SOASTA. As Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales, he will play an important role in defining and delivering SOASTA’s sales direction and growth path and will be responsible for a worldwide network of channel partners including ISVs, SIs and technology alliances.
