Ken Gardner
Executive Chairman

Ken Gardner, executive chairman for SOASTA, is an industry veteran with more than 30 years in the enterprise software industry. Ken is a six-time entrepreneur having previously been the founder and CEO of Istante (acquired by Oracle in December 2004); Sagent Technology (IPO in April 1999); ReportSmith (acquired by Borland in March 1994); and ViewPoint Systems (acquired by Knowledgeware in June 1992).

His first startup, in 1985, was Tesseract Corporation where he was senior vice president of Technology. From 1978 to 1985, he worked in R&D at Tymshare, Inc. Ken’s extensive experience in creating winning enterprise software products has resulted in numerous industry awards including:

  • InfoWorld “Technology of the Year” - 2004 Istante
  • PC Week Labs “Analyst Choice” - 1997 Sagent Technology
  • “Best of Comdex” Finalist - 1992 ReportSmith

Ken sits on the board of directors for Everdream Corporation and Accept Software, Inc. Ken is a 1972 graduate of the University of Louisville and holds a BSC degree in Finance. In 2000, he was named an alumni fellow by the University of Louisville, College of Business.

Tom Lounibos
President and CEO

Tom Lounibos, CEO for SOASTA, oversees SOASTA’s operations, sales and marketing arms and is responsible for the company’s go-to-market strategy. Tom brings more than 30 years of experience in building early stage software companies, leading two companies to successful IPO¹s. Most recently, Tom was CEO of Dorado Corporation. Previous to Dorado, he was EVP for Sagent Technology through its 1999 IPO, entrepreneur-in-residence at Crosspoint Venture Partners, and held executive positions at Digitalk Corporation, Knowledgeware (KWI), and Encore Financial Services. Tom has also served on several Boards in the Silicon Valley.


Ken Holcomb
CFO

Ken Holcomb, CFO for SOASTA, has over 34 years of experience in enterprise software and computer services. In his previous position as Istante’s CFO and senior vice president of Operations, Ken was responsible for Finance, IT, QA and the worldwide support of Istante's product line. During his tenure at Istante, he was also CIO and managed sales operations. Prior to joining Istante, Ken served as Sagent's vice president of Technical Support. In this role he was responsible for worldwide support of Sagent's platform products. He also served as vice pesident of Network Operations at Pilot Network Services, a secure Internet Service Provider. In his prior position with MFS Datanet, he was the senior vice president of Customer Service and Operations responsible for the operation and deployment of the global ATM backbone, network engineering, field operations and MIS development and operations, as well as all customer service functions. Ken has held similar positions at ViewPoint Systems, British Telecom, North America and Tymshare with Ken Gardner. Ken is a 1972 graduate of the University of Notre Dame and holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, majoring in Finance.


Lisa Bergamo
Vice President of Marketing

Lisa Bergamo, vice president of Marketing for SOASTA, brings more than 20 years experience in marketing business-to-business computer software solutions to the company. Most recently, she ran Bergamo Communications, a strategic marketing and public relations firm for enterprise software and services clients. Prior to that, Lisa served as senior vice president for Neale May & Partners, a leading perception management firm. Previously, she was vice president of marketing for Istante where she was responsible for all marketing strategy and programs. She has held management positions at Sagent Technology, CyberSource, and Silicon Graphics as well as at leading public relations firms including Miller/Shandwick, Cunningham Communication, and Blanc & Otus. Her broad experience includes developing and executing successful marketing, public relations and lead generation campaigns for dozens of Fortune 500 and start-up companies including Arena Software, A.T. Kearney, BusinessObjects, Genesys, Goodmail Systems, IBM, ILOG, Interlace Systems, KACE, Philips Semiconductors, Sony, Taligent, Transmeta and Visto among others. Lisa is a graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara and holds a Bachelors degree in English.


Staci Cosby
Vice President of Sales

Staci Cosby, vice president of Sales for SOASTA, has more than 15 years of information technology sales experience, with a focus on sales execution, sales process and team development. Prior to SOASTA, Staci served as M&A Integration Lead at Sun Microsystems where she led the sales integration of MySQL, one of the most successful integrations in Sun's history. Prior to Sun, Staci was vice president of Global Sales Operations at TeleTech, responsible for the development and execution of the company's global sales strategies and processes for all new logo business and existing client business. Prior to TeleTech, Staci held numerous roles managing sales operations developing sales organizations including building a successful sales team and sales infrastructure that enabled the IPO of Sagent Technology, Inc. Staci is a graduate of California State University at Fullerton and holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology.


Brad Johnson
Vice President of Strategic Partnerships

Brad Johnson, Vice President of Strategic Partners for SOASTA, brings over 15 years of IT experience spanning development, operations, strategic alliances and sales with a passion for helping global customers continually improve the quality and value of their IT projects.  Prior to Soasta, he led Product Marketing for Borland Software’s quality business, driving 36% annual growth.  Prior to Borland, Brad led Product Marketing for Mercury Interactive’s core testing business leading up to Mercury’ acquisition by Hewlett Packard and managed strategic global partnerships.  Before Mercury, Brad held senior Business Development and Product Management roles with Compuware Corporation, started and ran a technical services company, and co-founded a successful Silicon Valley executive recruiting firm. Brad is a graduate of the University of Phoenix with a Bachelors Degree in Management Information Systems.


Tal Broda
Vice President of Engineering

Tal Broda, Vice President of Engineering, brings over 10 years of development and engineering experience to SOASTA, Inc. with exceptional expertise in defining technology strategy and developing software architecture. Most recently, Tal was the Director of Development for Oracle’s Business Activity Monitoring (Oracle BAM) engineering team. In this role was responsible for the architecture and development schedule of the BAM product line, determining the go-to-market strategy, and evangelizing it to customers. His efforts increased the customer base by twelve-fold in one year. He also drove the acquisition of Sunopsis, Oracle’s next generation ETL tool and delivered its integration to the BAM product line in one month’s time. Prior to Oracle, Tal served in a number of management roles for Istante Software, Inc., moving from Lead Engineer to Server Architect to Chief Architect in his first year. He was ultimately responsible for the entire product architecture and drove the acquisition of Istante by PeopleSoft (Oracle) from the technical evaluation perspective. Tal has also held senior engineering positions at NewChannel and Elemental Software in Tel-Aviv, Israel. Tal has four patents pending and one granted in the area of real-time business intelligence and analytics. Tal holds a B.A. in Computer Science from the Academic College of Tel-Aviv-Yaffo in Tel-Aviv, Israel, an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley and an MBA from Columbia Business School in New York City, with honors.
