Sales Executive
Location: San Francisco Bay Area, Mountain View Headquarters
SOASTA, a leading provider of Web Application Test and Performance Management solutions, is seeking a Sales Executive responsible for developing new opportunities and acquiring new customers to build upon the ever-growing list of SOASTA clients.
Job Description
The Sales Executive is expected to prospect and develop new customer leads, introduce the SOASTA capabilities, and close the deal. This is a direct sales position with a regional geographic territory. The Sales Executive will be expected to call into various groups within prospective customers, from C-level to managers across IT and the business, and understand the needs of each.
Job Responsibilities
- Achieve/exceed annual sales quota
- Qualify leads and sales opportunities
- Direct company resources in pursuit of a winning account strategy
- Prospect and open up new accounts, excellent phone selling skills
- Use analytical and selling skills to understand the customer, their business and technology issues and needs.
Job Requirements
- Candidates should have 5 years of successful business-to-business software sales experience…direct and new business focused (not channel or partner based).
- Proven track record of success in creating and managing a robust pipeline of potential new customer base and territory.
- Highly motivated and professional with excellent communication skills, highly confident and goal oriented.
- Knowledge of software application testing, Cloud technologies, Internet architecture, and/or IT infrastructure.
- Must have high ethics, integrity, and humility and have a desire to be part of a rapidly growing sales and support organization.
- Experience in software start-up and competitive software sales environments.
- Fast learner and at ease with technology.

Performance Engineer

We have an outstanding group that is passionate about web application performance. We are currently looking for a talented individual to join our Performance Engineering team. This position requires a person who is highly skilled at handling complex technical situations, provides world-class customer service, and has effective verbal and written communication skills.
Performance Engineers are the front line leaders at SOASTA responsible for delivering performance intelligence. They work with engineering teams to define test objectives, lead performance testing engagements, and provide actionable analysis to help resolve performance bottlenecks. In addition, Performance Engineers play a critical part in pre-sales engagements, post-sales support, and in working with Product Engineering to help define the SOASTA CloudTest roadmap.
Job Description

- Understanding of typical n-tier application architecture (web, app, database)
- Expertise with at least one common application server technology (Java, .NET) is a plus
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking (proxies, firewalls, etc.), and common web technologies (HTTP, REST, Web Services, XML, etc.)

Performance Test Developer
Performance Testers are the technical backbone at SOASTA and are responsible for delivering performance tests that meet customer requirements. They work with engineering teams to define test objectives and develop tests. In addition, Performance Testers play a critical part working with Product Engineering to help define the SOASTA CloudTest roadmap. Experience developing tests with HP LoadRunner is strongly preferred.
Job Description
- Create tests based on customer-defined requirements.
- Contribute technical repository assets (KnowledgeBase, best practices, etc).
- Provide technical training and support to customers and partners.
