Vice President – Strategic Partners is accountable for leading development and growth of assigned Strategic Partners. Primary goal is to achieve/exceed sales targets. Responsibilities include managing the overall relationship, partner/account strategy, day-to-day program activities while also developing and growing the overall relationship. This person is responsible for leading channel partner initiatives that support the growth of SOASTA globally. This position will work closely with the CEO of SOASTA to identify and prioritize important Strategic Channel Partners, and will structure/negotiate and manage these Channel Partners consistent with SOASTA strategy.

Position Objectives

  • Develop senior executive relationships within assigned Partners with the objective of positioning SOASTA as a strategic and/or preferred partner.
  • Establish relationships with target partners from set of Manage Service providers, Cloud Platform Vendors, System Integrators, ISVs, and SAAS companies
  • Develop and launch go-to-market programs with select partners with the aid of internal resources, including channel marketing and strategic alliances
  • Develop eco-system partner strategies for various go-to-market efforts with Field Sales and other Partners and Alliances
  • Co-ordinate and utilize internal resources to effectively support the partner base and maximize opportunities
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive Account Development plans for Partners
  • Responsible for achieving quota designated by management

Essential Duties

  • Represent current and future vision of SOASTA and be the main point of contact for Partners
  • Establish relationships with target strategic partners
  • Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit and interest in creating new business models and uncovering untapped market potential
  • Provide thought partnership and analytical understanding to important business decisions involving existing or potential channel partner relationships
  • Champion strategic partners throughout the company and work with relevant internal resources (business development, product marketing, product management, etc.) to drive partner revenue growth
  • Understand and stay current with the competitive and industry landscape
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of partner business drivers and needs

Required Skills

  • BS/BA or equivalent required; MS/MBA
  • 12+ years of related industry experience in a solutions-selling environment
  • 8+ years of Channel Sales, Business Development and/or Alliance partnership related experience with Systems Integrators, ISVs or SAAS
  • Up to 50% of travel
  • International Experience
  • Previous years of experience selling to C- Level executives
  • Proven track record of a consistently achieving and out performing sales targets
  • Proven experience in growing channel partner revenues to $1M+/Month
  • Excellent communication skills to include: verbal, written and presentation

SOASTA is a leading provider of Web Application Test and Performance Management solutions, is seeking an Inside Sales Representative responsible for developing new opportunities and acquiring new customers to build upon the ever growing list of SOASTA clients.

Job Description

Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Inside Sales Specialist is expected to prospect and develop new customer leads, introduce the SOASTA service, and close the deal. This is a direct sales position with the vast majority of business being conducted via phone and internet communication. The Inside Sales Representative will be expected to call into various groups within a prospective customers, in particular the IT group and the business line, and understand the needs of each.

As a member of the sales team, the Sales Engineer will provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to SOASTA prospects, customers, and partners. The Sales Engineer should be highly skilled at handling complex technical situations and providing top-level customer service.

Job Description

  • Provide technical presentations (including customized demos) to customers and partners.
  • Assist customers with system configurations, installation and product evaluations.
  • Understand and document customer requirements and establish company’s product as the best solution that addresses that need.
  • Provide technical training to internal and external customers and partners.
  • Provide both pre-sales and post-sales technical support (onsite, phone, and email).
  • Troubleshoot customer issues and work with other departments (e.g. Engineering, QA) to resolve them.
  • Provide documentation and status reporting on product implementations.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Manage the deployment and content of partner demo environments.
  • Some travel is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, MIS or Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in performing a technical customer-facing role.
  • 2+ years of experience in software deployment in Windows and Linux environments.

  • Experience with Web services (SOAP, WSDL, REST, XML-RPC, etc.)
  • Familiarity with relational database systems (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL)
  • Experience in installation, configuration and maintenance of Web servers such as IIS, Apache and Tomcat is preferred.
